1:1 sessions are 2 hours long and usually begin indoors in the studio.

We can move outdoors into the adjacent forest at any point and the client can choose this.

We begin by settling in.

* I light a candle and offer to hold a short meditation to support us becoming present and in connection to ourselves, our bodies, our emotions, thoughts and that which supports and resources us.

*There is then space for the clients to share what they are bringing to work on.

*Once we are connected to the challenge and can feel the feelings arising we imagine and notice what is resourcing and brings safety and support to this vulnerability. This might be in the physical space or in our imaginations or spiritual realms.

*This pendulating between the challenge and the resource is the backbone of all of the work that we do so that we stay within our window of presence at all times and keep our nervous systems regulated while gently allowing emotional release to happen at the bodies intelligent pace.

*Essentially we are allowing flow to return to places that might have got stuck emotionally and possible places of incomplete trauma response that can be supported to complete. This might look like micro movements, emotional release, dialogue, re visiting a scene and intervening on behalf of the inner vulnerable one and so on.

We can use a whole variety of ways of doing this such as

Psychodrama

Role work

Body dialogue

Environmental art making

Sandtray constellation work

Writing

Movement

Mask making

Ritual

Shamanic journeying

Visualisation

Inner Parts work

Play back theatre

Power object creation

What we do will be completely unique and emerge from what the client brings. I will make suggestions of how we might explore this and the client has choice at every step of the way so that the work is entirely at a doable pace and in congruence with theĀ  clients capacity.

Once we have reached a sense of flow we might find ways to ritualise what has happened as a way to integrate and constellate the new awareness in the system.

My work is governed by a knowing and trust that the body has a unique healing intelligence and our job is to enable it to lead in a safe and held and slowed down conscious way that stays in connection to the self and to the other.

If we work outdoors we allow the forest to be co-therapist. The landscape presents herself as a creative medium for what is arising as well being a beautiful support and place for co- regulation of the nervous system.
